Rural Guerrilla Warfare in Medieval England

“”There must be an end to serfdom!” Robin’s voice rang clear above the crackling fire. “An end of tolls and tithes and dues and forced services! The land for the peasants and the town for the workmen! No more castles, no more hired cut-throats in livery and no more war service, no barons, no king!”

“No baron! No king!”

“It won’t be easy, my friends – if it was, we’d have done it long ago. It takes years to persuade men, to show them the one truth – that there are only two classes, masters and men, haves and have-nots. Everything else – Normans and Saxons, Christian and Saracen, peasant and craftsman – is a means of keeping us apart, of keeping masters on top.” – Geoffrey Trease, Bows Against the Barons.

Class Wargames will be hosting a collective playing of A Gest of Robin Hood with its designer Fréd Serval.

Entrance free. Bring your own food & drink.
